| Roger Lacroix begins
manufacturing leather garments for motorcyclists and debuts
his first helmet; a soft leather hat designed to protect
motorcycle riders from the cold and rain. |
| 1946 |
| After World war II, Lacroix
and Sons change their company to Cross; the English translation
of their surname. |
| 1964 |
| The first international
helmet safety standards are instituted. Many manufacturers
fail and drop from the market, while Cross passes succesfully
and continues production. |
| 1980 |
| Phillipe Lacroix joins
the company and begins exporting to compete with manufacturing
giants in Italy. The brand is renamed Lazer to reflect
the modern designs and technological advancements. |
| 1987 |
| Lazer diversifies its
marketshare with the introduction of a bicycle helemt.
Jetski and snowmobile models follow in 1988 and 1990,
respectively. |
| 2001 |
| The World Professional Road race champion victorious with a Lazer helmet. |
| 2002 |
| Lazer worn by the TDF
Green jersey and Paris Roubaix. |

| QBP becomes the exclusive
North American distributor of Lazer bicycle helmets. |
